R-HAAN, a two Michelin star restaurant in the heart of Bangkok, invites you on a culinary journey that embodies the essence of Thai cuisine in its purest form. Led by Chef Chumpol Jangprai, R-HAAN presents a seasonally changing menu that reflects the diversity and depth of Thai gastronomy. So I sit down at the table, enjoy a glass of champagne to get me in the mood and wait eagerly for the menu.

Introduction to the menu
R-HAAN’s menu pays homage to traditional Thai cuisine and consists of approximately 18 carefully selected dishes. They are served on fine, hand-painted porcelain. Each dish tells a story and reflects Thailand’s rich culinary tradition. The Amuse Gueule already symbolizes the journey through Thailand. Starting from the north, continuing to the west, continuing through central Thailand to the east and finally with a small bite to the south of the country. Each piece has its own character and flavors. Wonderful!
Pairing wines
The wine accompaniment to the menu was chosen with as much care as the dishes themselves. Each wine harmonizes perfectly with the flavors of the dishes and highlights the complexity of Thai cuisine. The selection largely includes international wines that are perfectly matched to the individual courses. I was amazed at how well the two could fit together.

Ambiance and service
The elegant ambience of R-HAAN, combined with the attentive and professional service, creates an atmosphere that is both very luxurious. Every aspect of the restaurant, from décor to service, has been carefully designed to ensure an unforgettable dining experience. And here too I experience the friendliness that I have encountered so often in Vietnam and Malaysia. Really a dream because I immediately feel good! I enjoy the evening to the fullest and immerse myself in the flavors of Thailand.
