Well, the answer is: The way you visit the park and you look at the „great“ Torres del Paine leads you to a magic place. And then… I went there and was sooo excited, overwhelmed and happy hiking in these wide steppes, small forests and rocky terrain. And again: Even this small part of Chile shows how divers Chile is. Rocks & mountains, steppes & bushes, glaciers & lakes. You find it all in Torres del Paine. Paine by the way is the ancient word for azul, which is blue in Spanish.

Conclusion: You should go! Breathe fresh air, watch wild animals, enjoy hiking the big trails or walk the steppe. Try to find pumas, watch guanacos and brace against the strong wind. Admire and salute glaciers and beautiful lake. That is what Torres del Paine is all about. Don’t walk with the crowd and you will end up chilled and blessed at the end of the day.
