The morning was a very relaxing one. I did not book an experience with the guides. I wanted to get up late, enjoy the beautiful breakfast and just have time to do what comes to my mind.
So, I slowly had coffee, cereals, fruits, water (which is very important here in Atacama desert) and just enjoyed being the last guest quitting the restaurant.
Later, sitting at the pool, I just looked at the rocks in front of me. The red rocks, that were lightened by the sun. The pool area is very nice. I could hear the water, a family playing cards and having some snacks. I took my laptop, easily checked mails and then started writing. Writing helps to let thoughts go out to the sky. All experiences can easily fly to the beautiful blue Atacama sky. Letting those thoughts go creates space for new thoughts and feelings. And that’s great!
In the early afternoon Drago joined. We had the sunset tour together and both will have the Cactus hike today at 4 p.m. We ordered two Pisco Sour with Rica Rica, a special plant or herb here in Atacama Desert. It smells like herbs, not too strong but intense. We had a real good conversation about finding yourself, having your own journey, self-trust and letting go. Facing the live in a way that fits to you personally. A journey with ups and downs, a journey with every day learning and getting the best out of you. Each day.
After second Pisco Sour we started the hike which was a real hike with ups and downs, jumping over the small river that flew through the canyon. The canyon was full of cactuses and plants. It was green and beautiful and everything. Fabi guided the tour. She’s very kind and helpful. I had the Flamingo tour with her, too. There was also a US family with us, very lovely. Their first trip together since their husband and father passed away last year. They were very talkative but nice. After appr. 1,5h hike we arrived at the car.

I missed lunch so I was very hungry. Dinner started 7:30 p.m. Again as a barbecue with vegetables, a lot of meat and nice non-alcoholic cocktails. At least for me 😊 Two Pisco Sour con Rica Rica were enough for the day.
I joined the Indian family with who I shared the transport from the airport to San Pedro. Her son is 8 years old and asks a lot of questions. Also, very nice people from the US, North Carolina. Most of the visitors in Nayara Resort come from the US. Some Swiss, but mostly US residents. The family went star glazing experience and I finished my dinner.
There was a fire at the campsite where some of the travelers meet. The Indian family joined, Drago, an American couple and a young woman. We talked about travels, Views on the world and just everything. All in all it was a very inspring day and I am still thankful for that.
