Content of the newsletter

Statistical survey and analyses

The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp and ActiveCampaign servers when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about your browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of your retrieval are initially collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times.

The statistical surveys also include determining whether and when the newsletters are opened and which links are clicked on. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is not our intention, nor that of MailChimp or ActiveCampaign, to observe individual users. Online access and data management

There are cases in which we direct newsletter recipients to the websites of MailChimp or ActiveCampaign. For example, our newsletters contain a link that newsletter recipients can use to access the newsletter online (e.g. in the event of display problems in the email program).
